You’re probably tired of hearing “Will we ever get back to normal?” We are too! The last 20 months have been challenging to all of us. But it’s also given us at the Semilla Center a chance to rethink our role in the community, and re-imagine new ways of transforming through art.
The above photo shows our Young Leaders painting the “Juntos” mural on 28th Street, a half a block from us. Their design grew out of their love for their community and the desire to make a difference. Many of these youth’s families suffered during the pandemic and the destruction of so much of our community’s business and cultural center in 2020. And yet they never gave up hope.
